The list of Icelandic Birds used by BUBO Listing is derived from the Iceland Birding website. The list is updated each year after publication of the annual rarities report.
Note that for the purposes of BUBO Listing, species recorded on fewer than about 20 occasions are classed as rare and the lister is asked to supply a date and location for the sighting.
Although English and scientific names are shown as standard within BUBO Listing, the Icelandic names of each species are also included and can be viewed upon data entry by hovering the mouse over the English name. Moreover, the Icelandic names are also listed below:
